Pink Helping Hand Program

The United Colors of Pink (UCP) is an organization devoted to helping others. Our volunteer-based non-profit organizes fundraisers to collect money from donors in order to distribute these means among people affected by breast cancer. UCP, per its Bylaws, pledges to distribute funds annually to people in need after carefully reviewing each case.

  • To be considered for the Pink Giving Hand Assistance proof from a doctor about active treatment is required.

  • UCP holds the right to verify the validity of each petition,  such as requesting the original MD or therapist's note in accordance with the guidelines within HIPAA rules.

  • UCP will share its funds with petitioners on a first-come-first-serve basis.

  • Members are eligible to receive financial help for up to two years from the date of their first application. A member can apply for financial help a second time only if at least one year has passed since the date of their first application. â€‹

  • The total period during which a member can receive financial help is limited to two years, counting from the date of the first application. No further financial assistance will be provided after this period.

  • Funds will be given only until they are exhausted on the day of petitioning to no less than $5000 of UCP savings. This amount will be reviewed annually or adjusted based on UCP's current operating needs. This amount always needs to remain in the UCP account.
