There are moments that take your breath away - moments that remind you why you
started, and how far a community can go when it stands together. For us at United
Colors of Pink, May 2, 2025, was one of those unforgettable moments.
At the Annual Awards Banquet hosted by the Polish American Police Association
(PAPA), we were deeply honored to be named Polish Organization of the Year. To be
recognized by such a respected and community-driven organization is a powerful
affirmation of our mission - and a tribute to everyone who stands with us.
This award isn’t just ours. It belongs to every volunteer, donor, survivor, and family who
has been part of this journey. It belongs to our community - to you.
At United Colors of Pink, our purpose has always been deeply human: SAVING LIVES ONE BREAST AT A TIME - because the beating heart is next to it. This mission drives everything we do, from providing direct financial support, to emotional care, to raising critical awareness about breast cancer in the Polish American community. Being named Polish Organization of the Year reminds us that we are not alone in this work - that others see the impact and want to help carry it forward.
Thank you to PAPA for this incredible honor. Thank you to everyone who believes in our cause. With your continued support, we will keep showing up—with open hearts, strong voices, and unstoppable hope. Together, we are saving lives—one breast at a time.

Just day after this incredible honor, we had the privilege of attending the 2025 Polish
Constitution Day Parade Brunch, hosted by the Chicago Society of the Polish
National Alliance. Surrounded by inspiring voices and devoted leaders, we were
reminded once again how strong and united our community is.
Among the distinguished guests we had the pleasure of meeting were:
Illinois State Comptroller, Hon. Susana A. Mendoza
Regina Jurkowska, Consul General of Poland in Chicago
Monika Wielichowska, Deputy Speaker of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland
Deputy Speaker Wielichowska, herself a dedicated advocate for breast cancer
awareness, shared her heartfelt support for our mission. Her words touched us deeply,
and we look forward to exploring future collaboration that will expand our reach and
deepen our service.
